Jasco Concrete Structure Investigation Neutralization Depth Measurement Test
By measuring the neutralization depth, the strength of concrete structures is estimated.
Concrete is usually alkaline (pH 12-13), but when carbon dioxide in the air acts on it, it becomes neutral, causing the passive film on the reinforcing steel to be lost and reducing its corrosion resistance. By measuring the depth of neutralization, the load-bearing capacity of concrete structures can be estimated.
